On August 15, 2007, my beautiful mother passed away after an 11-month fight against ovarian cancer. She lived with my family during her battle, and we saw first-hand what a debilitating, silent killer this disease can be.
My mother was a huge influence in helping me to get this business going. She was a wonderful role model and a smart, independent thinker, who always supported the idea that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. She maintained that attitude throughout her life and her battle with cancer.
